Recap of the Cowgirl Code of the West Retreat

Our first ever Cowgirl Code of the West Retreat was nothing short of amazing. It was one of those rare times when you realize the women, activities, topics and destination all came together to give a once in a lifetime experience for those that were in attendance, Wren and I included!

Here's a recap of all that the weekend included and an intro to each gal that joined us. Give them a follow on IG!

~ Hostess with the mostess, retreat planner and Innovative Marketing presenter, our very own trailblazer, Wren LeVan.

~ We learned about branding and talking to our customers through creative email marketing from Paige at No Roots Boots.

~ We were inspired by Geena, Author of Field to Fork Cookbook and inspirational IG account City Raised Farm Saved. She made us the freshest, most delicious carnitas, guac & salsa we've ever had and showed us you can decide to live a different life than the one you're living.

~ We learned from the best, Allison Wiens, how to up our Instagram Reels game and came home with lots of video and photography content to keep us busy for months.

~ We had our minds blown from the queen of being intentional, Stephanie, with Living Local Northwest.

We made new friendships and strengthened existing ones. We bonded over crafting, ate delicious meals and sipped yummy coffee from Copper & Honey Coffee Trailer & wine from The Farm on Golden Hill.

Beautiful floral wreaths were made under the direction of Kimmie with Wild Fern Florals. We loved her family farming story and living her passion through flowers. We highly, highly recommend going to one of her workshops. So fun!

And the attendees....We can't thank you enough for putting your trust in us, to spend the weekend working in your business, and taking the time out of your busy lives. Let's meet these gals!

We laughed. We laughed so hard our bellies hurt! All because on the last night we discovered Angela, with Tin & Paisley Boutique is a natural comedian!

This is Western Influencer, Alli. You may recognize her as the Influencer for the collection Blush Out West X Alli!

We had another florist in the house, the very photogenic Abby with What in Carnation! She took full advantage of the photographers on site and has created some of the best reels of the weekend!

It's always good to know a couple of realtors across the country, and Vanessa knows a thing or two about Indiana and Nashville. She's a realtor from  Indiana/Tennessee and is a big fan of Boots & Big hair, especially boots from Paige!

Meet Stefanie, a fellow Oregonian and boutique owner. She is the owner of Baileymay's Boutique and has a super fun fashion show coming up in February 2023 that you may want to attend!

This here is Elizabeth, and she's mega talented. She designed the notebooks for our goodie bags. I couldn't let everyone leave the retreat without taking a look at her sketchbook, so as the cars were being loaded for the airport and drives home, I had her whip it out. Let's just say, there were many IG stories filmed in the next 10 minutes. Check out Western Rose Studios to get a sampling of her work. In addition to a watercolor artist, she's also a graphic designer and photographer.

Here is Shannon, an intense learner & creative who is going to be designing her very own Lookbook for....Food trucks! She runs a food truck in Oregon and showed us how to do charcuterie our first night as we were all meeting and getting to know one another. She's got a very fun IG, check it out.

Somehow our next gal, Taylor, escaped the photographers, but we sure caught plenty of the photos of the cute branded cups she made for the goodie boxes. She has some great branded products to add to your shops or use for customer appreciation swag. Need something original? She's your gal!

This is Taunie who has a super fun business, she helps you customize your hat! Host a Hat Decorating experience with All Around Hat Co for your next girls night out. Everyone walks away with something fun and original.

Another lady that seems to have escaped all photos and creative endeavors, is Joan, restauranteur extraordinaire! But I caught her on camera as she treated us all to a short stop over to one of her restaurants, The Wild Hare Saloon. We also got to enjoy her delicious Clam Chowder soup to warm us up on day #3.

Here's someone else you may recognize, Bri with Fence Post & Co. She & Wren hit the show road this past summer keeping each other company. She has a darling little store with lots of unique items.

The retreat was held at the historic Coleman Ranch in Molalla, OR. Longhorns included!

All of the above photos (minus my candid Wild Hare photo) were captured by two photographers over the 3 days of the retreat. These amazing gals documenting our memorable moments were Hailey with Sittin Pretty Shots and Hannah with HVFITZ Photos. If you have a big event coming up or just want to do a fun photo shoot, we can't say enough good things about either one of them! You'll be in good hands with whoever you choose.

If this looks like fun and you don't want to miss out on the next one,

be sure to join our email list!

XOXO

Vanessa & Wren
